River Run and the Shallows

Images of a rushing river had haunted my dreams for months. It took months more to realize it on canvas since I rarely work on a surface this size. Reliving sensations of rivers past and being detail-oriented also slowed me down. But, there is joy in the challenge of turning a dream into a painting. I loved making rushing water lap over rocks, swirl in eddies and be stilled in the shallows.
